Bobby Mc Ferrin

The context in which I came across this video is a bit technical( or 'researchy' if that sounds more classy), but its amazing nevertheless. Have you ever wondered if humans can produce two different tones at the same time ? Birds routinely do this, but in real life, I dont remember noticing anyone doing this for a significant amount of time. ( You can try doing it actually to get a feel of how difficult it is). It turns out that humans inherently have the physical mechanism to produce two tones, just that we have not trained our muscles enough. Some trained vocalists can actually do this !! If you are not able to notice it, you can import the file into matlab and view the abrupt jumps in the spectrogram :-)

Wish I could find a er.. 'driver' to activate this incompatible-by-default hardware !! Multi tone-la mokka podalam :-)
